A light and bright 3 rooms apartment

Usually I seek for natural light and closeness to nature. All the interiors shared on my blog correspond to these conditions. Every time when starting the home tour, I go from inside to outside. This time it’s a little bit different as at this interior, the terrace was the one that captured my instant attention. A small, urban terrace, but well equipped with everything that a person would need to enjoy the fresh air.

This apartment is in one of the most quietest neighborhoods of Gothenburg, Sweden. The building originates back to 1928, and this 72.5 sqm apartment has a few elements that reflects the good old times. The arched windows give a special vibe to the interior, not to mention the abundance of natural light flowing into the kitchen and living room. The interior has a home-office/guest bedroom where the terrace is located too, a calm master bedroom, and an open-space living room combined with an airy kitchen.

The dining area is very light thanks to the white cabinetries and the big windows. Above the table, there is a FlowerPot pendant light. I love the greeneries and the botanical arts on the wall. You can find endless options of botanical wall arts on Etsy.com.

This corner is my favorite in this apartment, it’s the perfect spot for a good book. A daybed like this one can be found at Jysk, if you are in my country, and the bookshelf is an Elfa masterpiece. It is incredible how this brand helps you to find the perfect combination for your storage needs.

Similar solar ceiling decorations can be found here. The nightstand is the BJÖRKSNÄS from Ikea.

This wood and white tile combination in the bathroom is a bulletproof styling trick to go, it’s simple, bright and classic, no way to go wrong with it.

That’s it, my friends, about this inspirational home. Don’t forget to use the tags from the end of this post, if you want to see similar interiors. See you next week with another home tour.

Let’s get some fresh air! A villa with blue kitchen is for sale

Lately, I was mostly posting about apartments, not sure why as this was not intentionally. This week I felt I would need more “air”, an interior with a garden where I could go out to drink my afternoon tea. I found this gorgeous villa for sale in Sweden (of course, where elsewhere?), and I instantly felt in love with the blue kitchen and the color spots here and there.

This house was built in 1924, it has 108+60 sqm, and the land area is 681 sqm. It is super cozy with its vintage pieces combined with modern elements. The Kulladal kitchen with its solid wood cabinetry is the winner of all in this house, the kitchen island assures an airy but still very spacious work space. The abundance of natural light flows in on the big windows and the glass door that takes you to a big terrace with dining area. The dining room’s focal point is the yellow cabinet that adds an eye-catching color spot to the room.

The bluish wallpaper is from Sandberg that adds a special feeling to the hall. The black & white floor tiles are so French and chic, and I think these are such a good combination with the wallpaper. I love the home office next to the window, of course this could work only if some kids are not running around the house.

The Devil is in the details…lovely vintage candlestick on the staircase.

The bedroom is relatively small, and calm and its dark wallpaper turns the room into the perfect nest to have a good night’s sleep. Ok, regarding the bathroom, let’s just say that I’m a fan of vintage bath tubes and old fashion white tiles. I still don’t get why these tiles are not trendy in my country…

What a nice interior with cozy and homey vibes. I hope you got inspired by some interior design ideas. This house is for sale, in case you are around Stockholm do not hesitate to contact the Historika Hem guys for further details.

A spacious penthouse with a beautiful terrace

What I love the most in Swedish interiors is that, regardless of the apartment’s type or size, there is always an outdoor space, even if it’s a tiny terrace. Being closer to nature is vital for Nordic people, maybe this is one of the reasons that they can have that specific harmony with nature.

This interior sold by Alvhem is dated back to 1924 and it’s a penthouse with a super cozy rooftop terrace. The 101.2 sqm apartment has 3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. The living room combined with the home office corner is on the top floor that takes you out to the terrace. The natural light/sunlight flows into the apartment abundantly, this turns the place into an airy and bright interior. I cannot decide if the terrace with its greenery or the curvy walls are more powerful focal points, I adore both of these, that’s for sure.

At the down floor, the spacious dining room, and the kitchen along with the smaller dining area, lets the owner decide where to have a cozy meal in case guests are coming over. The dominant white color and the light creamy tones go through the whole interior, making sure that the red line of the interior design is assured by the color palette. The bedroom itself is a calm oasis where a good rest is guaranteed.

I hope you like this calming tour, don’t forget to come back to my blog next week for another Nordic inspiration.

An Architect’s Little Black Cabin

Sometimes we need something more dynamic than pictures, right? That’s why I try to enrich the archive of video content on my blog. This might be a good reason to pour yourself a glass of wine, and start the weekend with some nice interiors.

I’m a big fan of the NEVER TOO SMALL YT channel. Whenever they share a new interior, they show us that small places do not necessarily mean limited living space, and with the right creativity, you have have a fully functional, cozy, homey interior.

The Little Black cabin is located in the Blue Mountains, 2 hours driving away from Sydney. It has only 28 sqm, and believe me, it’s a real charm from the bottom to the top. The owner is an architect that made the entire renovation and reconstruction more challenging. They actually wanted to restore the original shape of the cabin even, if this meant decreasing the living space. The reason for sharing this interior is that it’s close to nature, is built sustainably, is a minimalistic space, and the interior design, along with the color palette, is marvelous. The view from the kitchen/living room is simply breathtaking.
